ABOUT HOME MATTERS
Background and Experience
After a satisfying career in the Canadian Armed Forces, I chose to pursue carpentry as a new start and a second career. Over the past 25+ years, I’ve completed a wide range of home projects, repairs, and improvements for friends and family. This experience built a strong foundation in practical problem‑solving, reliable workmanship, and disciplined work habits
Training & Standards
As a graduate of the Carpentry and Renovation Technician program at Conestoga College, I gained structured training across a wide range of interior and exterior carpentry skills. The program strengthened my techniques, corrected self‑taught habits, and expanded my abilities in framing, finishing, flooring, drywall, exterior structures, and general renovation practices. This education supports the practical, reliable approach I bring to home‑project work.
Approach & Values
Home Matters is focused on building trust and solid relationships with homeowners through reliable workmanship and clear communication. Every project is approached with care, accuracy, and proper methods, whether it’s a small repair or a larger build. The goal is to provide work that homeowners can depend on — completed safely, correctly, and with attention to detail.
